感到失望,英語怎么表達(dá)?

1. disappointed : unhappy because things did not happen in the way you hoped they would, or were not as good as you expected them to be 因事情沒按你希望的樣子發(fā)生或不如你期待的那樣理想而感到失望

例:

I felt a little disappointed when she didn't come to the party. (她沒來派對,我有點(diǎn)失望。)

The hall was already full, and hundreds of disappointed fans were turned away at the door. (整場爆滿,上千粉絲不得入內(nèi),很失望。)

I'm very disappointed in both of you—I guess I expected better behavior. (本以為你們倆會表現(xiàn)好點(diǎn)兒,現(xiàn)在我對你們倆都失望極了。)

I was disappointed with the grade I got in my Maths exam. (我對我數(shù)學(xué)考試的成績感到失望。)

The children were very disappointed that we couldn't go to the zoo. (我們沒法去動物園了,孩子們感到很失望。)

We were disappointed to find that the museum was closed. (博物館關(guān)門了,我們感到失望。)

2. feel let down : to feel disappointed because someone did not do what they promised to do, or did not help you when you needed them 因為某人沒有實現(xiàn)承諾或沒有幫助你而感到失望

例:

No wonder the nurses feel let down—they were promised a big pay increase, but nothing has happened. (難怪護(hù)士們會感到失望——領(lǐng)導(dǎo)本答應(yīng)給她們大漲工資,最后卻打水漂了。)

They were ashamed of their daughter's behavior, and felt badly let down. (女兒的所作所為讓他們感到臉上無光,失望極了。)

I felt let down when I saw the film. (我對這部電影很失望。)

3. disillusioned : disappointed because you realize that a person, belief, way of life etc. is not as good as you thought they were 對某人 / 某種信仰 / 某種生活方式感到幻滅

例:

Disillusioned voters are turning against the government. (失望的選民開始轉(zhuǎn)而反對政府。)

As she grew older, Laura became increasingly disillusioned with politics. (盧娜越大,越對政治感到失望。)

Japanese college students in particular are disillusioned by the restrictions placed on them by society. (尤其是日本大學(xué)生,對社會給他們的約束感到很失望。)

4. crestfallen : looking very disappointed and sad 垂頭喪氣的

例:

Steve looked crestfallen as he returned from the mailbox empty-handed. (信箱里什么都沒有,史蒂夫兩手空空地失望而歸。)

She ripped open the package but found nothing in it but shoes. She was crestfallen. (她拆開包裹,看見里面只有鞋子,很失望。)

5. disenchanted : disappointed with something that you used to enjoy or believe in, or with someone you used to have great respect for (大致同 3 )對某人 / 某事物不再抱有幻想

例:

The party's greatest problem is trying to win back the support of its own disenchanted members. (這個政黨最重要的任務(wù)是,重新贏取已對該黨灰心的黨員們的支持。)

After three divorces he must be pretty disenchanted with married life. (離過三次婚,他肯定對婚姻生活失望極了。)

6. bummed : disappointed

例:

He 's pretty bummed about not getting the scholarship. (沒拿到獎學(xué)金他很失望。)

7. be/feel sorry : used when telling someone that you feel disappointed and wish that the situation was different 告訴某人你感到遺憾,并希望情形能變得不同

備注: '' be/feel sorry '' 常用于口語中。

例:

I ' m sorry you can ' t come to the party. (你不能來參加聚會,我很遺憾。)

She always felt sorry that she hadn ' t got to know him better. (沒機(jī)會更好地了解他,她一直感到遺憾。)
