about something that is convenient and easy to use

是非正式的用法。
例:

The book is full of handy hints.

I always keep old jars - you never know
when they might come in handy (= be useful ).
(舊罐子我從不扔掉,沒準(zhǔn)什么時(shí)候能用上。)
