1. dislike: to think someone or
something is very unpleasant
備注：''dislike''通常用于書面語。
例：
He was a quiet man who disliked social
occasions.（他很文靜，不喜歡社交場(chǎng)合。）
She disliked Paul intensely.（她很不喜歡保羅。）
She now seriously disliked her former
friend.（現(xiàn)在，她很不喜歡過去的那些朋友。）
I dislike having to get up so early in the
morning.（我不喜歡早上這么早起床。）

2. don't think much of something/somebody: to think that something is not very good or that someone is not
very good at something
備注：''don't
think much of...''通常用于口語中。
例：
You don't think much of Carol, do you?（你不怎么喜歡卡羅，是嗎？）
The hotel was okay, though I didn't think
much of the food.（酒店還行，但我不怎么喜歡那兒的伙食。）
I don't think much of The Beatles, to be
quite honest.（老實(shí)說，我不怎么喜歡披頭士樂隊(duì)。）

3. not be very keen on something/not be very fond of something: to not like something, although you do not think it is very bad or
very unpleasant
備注：''not be
very keen on something/not be very fond of something''通常用于英式英語中。
例：
Actually, I'm not very keen on modern art.（說實(shí)在的，我不怎么喜歡現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)。）
George had never been particularly fond of
small children.（喬治一直不怎么喜歡小孩。）

4. not be somebody's type: if
someone is not your type, they are not the kind of person you usually like or
enjoy being with
例：
Rob isn't her type at all.（羅博不是她的菜。）
"What do you think of
Michael?"? "He looks a bit
rough - he's not really my type."（-你覺得邁克爾怎么樣？ -他看起來有點(diǎn)兇，我不怎么喜歡他。）

5. not be somebody's (kind of) thing:
to not be the kind of thing that you enjoy - use this about activities, films,
books etc.
備注：英式英語中常作''not
be somebody's cup of tea''。
例：
Tennis is not my thing.（我不喜歡網(wǎng)球。）
Horror films aren't really my cup of tea.（我不怎么喜歡恐怖電影。）

6. not be to your taste/liking: use
this to say that something is not the type of thing that you like or that you
think is good
例：
It seems that the music wasn't exactly to
his taste.（這音樂好像不是他的菜。）
The food wasn't really to my liking - it
all tasted rather salty.（這些菜我都不怎么喜歡，都太咸了。）

7. have no time for: to dislike a
person, their attitude, or their behavior and have no respect for them
例：
He has no time for people who talk too
much.（他不喜歡話多的人。）
I've no time for that kind of attitude.（我不喜歡那種態(tài)度。）
My father had no time for complainers.（我爸爸不喜歡愛抱怨的人。）
He has no time for players who aren't
completely dedicated.（他不喜歡不努力的選手。）

8. not take kindly to: to be
unwilling to accept a particular situation, suggestion, or type of behavior,
because you think it is annoying
例：
She doesn't take kindly to criticism.（她不喜歡被批評(píng)。）
Nancy doesn't take kindly to being
corrected.（南希不喜歡有人說她錯(cuò)。）
He didn't take very kindly to being
disturbed in the middle of the night.（他不喜歡半夜有人找。）
