(一)小醉、微醺:

1. tipsy :

例:

I got a little tipsy at the party last night. (我在昨晚的派對上有點(diǎn)喝醉了。)

After the second glass of wine I was feeling a little tipsy. (喝了兩杯,我已經(jīng)有點(diǎn)兒醉了。)

We went out to dinner, got a little tipsy, and ended up at my place. (我們出去吃飯,喝了點(diǎn)酒,最后在我家睡了。)

2. buzzed : feeling slightly drunk

備注: ''buzzed'' 常用于美式英語的口語中。

例:

This stuff is strong - I'm already a little buzzed. (這酒太烈了,我已經(jīng)有點(diǎn)兒醉了。)

3. mellow : relaxed from drinking alcohol or using drugs

例:

She wasn't drunk yet, but she was feeling nice and mellow and happy. (她沒有喝醉,但是感覺飄飄然很開心。)

After a couple of drinks, we all started feeling pretty mellow. (幾杯酒下肚,我們都覺得飄起來了。)

(二)喝醉:

1. drunk : someone who is drunk has drunk too much alcohol and cannot think clearly or behave sensibly

例:

She was so drunk she could hardly stand up. (她喝得太醉了,差點(diǎn)站不起來了。)

Gary was too drunk to remember what had happened that night. (蓋瑞那晚喝太多了,記不起當(dāng)時(shí)發(fā)生的事。)

2. pissed : drunk - many people consider this to be an impolite word

備注: ''pissed'' 用于英式英語的口語中表示“喝醉”,用于美式英語中表示“生氣”。

例:

Every time she goes to a party she gets pissed. (她每次去參加派對都要喝醉。)

Don't listen to him - he's pissed. (別聽他的,他喝醉了。)

3. have had too much to drink/have had one too many : to have drunk too much alcohol so that you feel very drunk or sick

例:

4. drunken : a drunken person is drunk and their drunken behavior shows that they are drunk

備注: ''drunken'' 常用作定語,常用于書面語中。

例:

A couple of drunken sailors were arguing with a policeman outside the bar. (酒吧外,幾個(gè)喝醉酒的水手和警察在爭吵。)

drunken brawl (=a fight between people who are drunk)

A drunken brawl broke out at the bar. (酒吧里有人酒后鬧事。)

in a drunken stupor (=almost unconscious as a result of being drunk)

He fell into a drunken stupor. (他醉得不省人事摔倒了。)

5. intoxicated : drunk - use this especially in legal, official, and medical contexts

備注: ''intoxicated'' 是正式的用法,常用于正式文件中。

例:

He was found guilty of driving while intoxicated. (他酒駕被抓。)

Our policy is not to serve alcohol to anyone who is already intoxicated. (我們的規(guī)矩是,不能再賣酒給已經(jīng)喝醉的人。)

6. have been drinking : use this about someone who you know has been drinking alcohol because they are behaving as if they were drunk or because you can smell alcohol on their breath

例:

Have you guys been drinking all day? (你們喝了一整天了?)

She answered the door in her bathrobe and I could tell she'd been drinking. (她穿著浴袍來開門,渾身酒氣。)
