1. be somebody's fault: if something
is someone's fault , they are responsible for it, especially because they made
a mistake

He played very well, and it is not his

especially a group of people or an organization, is at fault, they are
responsible for something bad that has happened because they did not behave
correctly or did not take enough care

you only have yourself to blame for something bad that has happened, it is your
