主要講了“入眠”在英語中怎么表達。緊接上一講，我們來看看英語中還有哪些跟“睡眠”相關(guān)的表達。

1. 表示“睡著”，常用：be asleep
例：
''Are you asleep?''? ''No, I'm awake.''（-你睡著了嗎？ -沒，醒著呢。）
The baby's asleep - don't wake her.（孩子睡著了，別吵醒她。）
He tries to clean up the house while the
kids are asleep.（他想趁著孩子們在睡，把房子好好打掃一下。）
He was still asleep at noon.（到了中午，他還在睡。）

2. 表示“熟睡”，常用：
① fast/sound asleep: sleep deeply
例：
He was fast asleep by the time I got home.（我到家時，他已經(jīng)睡得很熟了。）
It was late at night and everyone was fast
asleep.（夜已深，大家都已熟睡。）
One moment she was sound asleep, the next
she was wide awake!（她本來還在熟睡，一下就完全醒了?。?/span>

② out for the count:
例：
Two minutes after getting into bed, I was
out for the count.（我睡下后兩分鐘，就睡得很熟了。）

③ sleep like a baby/log:
備注：''log''的原意是“木頭”。
例：
After a long day of skiing, I slept like a
baby last night.（滑了一整天雪，我昨晚睡得很好。）
I was exhausted and slept like a log.（我累壞了，是以睡死過去。）

④ sleep through (something): to
sleep without being awakened by (something, such as a loud noise) 熟睡，沒被（噪聲等）吵醒
例：
She slept right through the thunderstorm.（她沒被暴風雨吵醒。）
How did you manage to sleep through the
thunderstorm?（雷電交加你怎么能睡著？）
I can't believe I slept through my alarm!（竟然鬧鐘都沒吵醒我，難以置信啊?。?/span>
At least the baby is sleeping through the
night.（至少孩子一夜睡了個整覺。）（備注：sleep through the night= to sleep continuously during the whole night）

⑤ sleep tight: used especially to
children before they go to bed, to say that you hope they sleep well 睡個好覺！
備注：這句話一般用在口語中。
例：
Good night, kids. Sleep tight. （晚安，孩子們，睡個好覺?。?/span>

3. 表示“醒來，但還沒完全清醒”，常用：half asleep
例：
Still half asleep, Jenny began to make the
kids' breakfast.（珍妮還沒完全睡醒，就開始給孩子們做早飯。）
We were still half asleep when we went to
school the next morning.（第二天上學的時候，我們還迷迷糊糊的。）

4. 表示“在某地方過夜”，一般指“家以外的地方”
① kip:
備注：這個詞是英式英語中較口語化的說法。
例：
Can I kip here tonight?（我今晚能住這兒嗎？）
We kipped down at a hotel.（我們住在酒店里。）

② stay over:
例：
If you want, you can stay over with us
tonight.（如果你愿意，今晚可以睡我們家。）
?
③ stay the night:
例：
After the party she was too drunk to drive
so she stayed the night.（她喝高了沒法開車，派對結(jié)束后便留下來過夜。）
They stayed the night at her brother's.（他們在她哥哥家過夜。）

④ sleep over:
例：
My mom said that you could sleep over on
Saturday.（我媽說，你周六晚可以住我們家。）
